House 7: Writing and Social Networking - Part 3

Despite a few months without publishing anything on this blog, I still play this challenge when I have time. It really keeps me entertained.

We start this update with Tupungato's young adult birthday.

I have to say that I really like the way Tupungato looks. His new trait is Artistic, to join Friendly, Excitable, Ambitious and Charismatic. His Lifetime Wish is Blog Artist, which I don't remember if he already had it in his adolescence or if it was assigned to him when he came of age, it's been so long since I played this house that I no longer remember it. And I don't have it in my notes.

After enjoying a slice of birthday cake, Tupungato took the university test. He signed up for a Business Mayor.

His days at the university were a varied experience.

Attend classes and study hard.

Dedicate many hours of his days to skilling social networking.

And have fun like any college student.

Or maybe a little more fun than the regular student. But it was all in the name of increasing influence among jocks to get into his dream job!

He rose the jock influence enough that he was able to choose a sixth trait, Animal Party.

In his second term at the university, Tupungato was able to fulfill his Lifetime Wish. One less requirement!

Despite dedicating many hours to nightlife and little to studying, the young man managed to graduate with an A. His bewildered face shows that he doesn't know how he did it.

His mother showed up on his graduation day and was very happy to see her son graduate.

Tupungato received his degree in business but, like his father, failed to colelct the graduation gnome.

Poor Bermejo arrived late to the ceremony and spent the entire time sitting on a bench outside.

The next day after returning from university, Tupungato had his high school graduation ceremony where his classmates voted him Most Artistic. That's what I get for sending a sim to college on the same day as their birthday.

A few days later Bermejo caught up with his brother in young adulthood. He added the trait Commitment Issues to Neurotic, Couch Patato, Bookworm and Hates the Outdoors. He had already completed his Professional Author LTW in his teens.

Bermejo was selected Class Valedictorian and Most Likely to Write a Best Selling Novel, which he did several times before graduating.

One day after his graduation, the young man reached level 10 of the writing career. I think he is my sim who has done it the fastest, just two days in young adulthood. Gotta love those sports books.

A few days later Tupungato maxed the Sport Agent career. It was quite anticlimactic, as the man was more concerned about being sleepy than enjoying another requirement fulfilled.

The next few days were dedicated to my sims having fun since everything was completed except for the sale of Tupungato's last blog to supermax social networking.

In the midst of these days, Pulmari also supermaxed the writing skill, almost without me realizing it.

It was a bit boring to tell the truth as there was nothing I could do to speed up this, it took a few days for the blog to sell.

But finally the day came! Tupungato became my first sim to supermax Social Networking. This is a skill that whenever I have tried to supermax it, I found it a little tedious and I abandoned it quite quickly. Maybe it was how I carried it forward with Tupungato, but this time I enjoyed doing it.

This is the first skill since I started this challenge that I haven't supermaxed so far. I had already done all of the previous ones on at least in one occasion.

And with Tupungato supermaxing the skill this household is finished. The move will be seen in the next chapter since the man will continue living in Twinbrook.

Note: A small clarification in case anyone is reading previous chapters, I accidentally deleted the photos from this blog while deleting some that were not published. I've been uploading them little by little, but it's slow work mainly because it's boring and I prefer to use my free time to play 😝. But don't worry because they will all be uploaded in due time.

House 7: Writing and Social Networking - Part 2

We start this chapter with Tupungato's teen birthday.

His new trait is Charismatic.

I am happy that I decided for him to be the heir, I really like his look.

The boy spending time together.

Tupungato immediately started meeting people through social networking. This is the first time I'm going to supermax this skill as every time I have tried I have given up before making any significant progress, I hope I can achieve it.

Meanwhile, Pulmari maxed writing. I don't remember if I said it in the previous chapter, but with her I'm going to focus on Vaudeville novels.

Tupungato went to the prom and a couple of interesting things happened there, the first is that he asked the most popular guy out and he laughed at my heir. The second was that Tupungato and Pansy Prudence become romantic interests. I hesitated for a minute whether to grow this relationship or not, but in the end I decided to change it to friendship with social networking, since I prefer my heir to dedicate himself fully to the skill for now. He will have a better social life at the university.

Bermejo followed his brother into teenagehood only a few days later. His new trait is Hates the Outdoors.

A cute scene of the family eating together. This doesn't happen very often in this house.

Bermejo joined the writing career, he is going to specialize in sport books, since they are the books with the best royalties.

That is why only a few days later he fulfilled his Lifetime Wish, even before reaching level 10 writing.

My focus is more on Tupungato than on the rest of the family, and not only because he is the heir, but because he is the one I have to micromanage the most. I'm discovering that supermaxing Social Networking is time consuming.

I also try to get him to do activities that increase his influence among the jocks.

Bill wished to max the Athletic skill so indulge him.

When he was 89 days old, I realized that he was only missing about 6,000 simoleons in royalties to complete the speed writer challenge and supermax writing so I got him to write a couple of sport books.

In the midst of that, Bill also maxed the Charisma skill even if he did not wish to do it.

Almost at the same time Bermejo maxed the Writing skill. Yes, except for Tupungato, this family has almost no social life.

At least outside the house, the social life of the married couple is not so scarce inside.

Just a couple hours later after this screenshot, Grim came for Bill.

He was only 92 days old when it happened, while he was writing an article for his job.

His family stopped what they were doing and ran over there to witness Grim taking Bill away.

Good bye Bill, you were a good sim who supermaxed one skill and maxed another four. I will miss you.

A few hours later Bermejo supermaxed the Writing skill but it was a bittersweet moment without his father to be proud of him.

House 7: Writing and Social Networking - Part 1

Pulmari arrived to her new home on Twinbrook. This time I did build her house, something I hadn't done since house 4. I tried to create something that goes with the other buildings in the town.

This another two skill household, writing and social networking.

At first, I thought about doing just writing but, even though it's one of my favorite skills, I thought that watching my sims writing all day would be a bit boring. So, I added social networking since they go hand in hand, blogs benefit from high levels of writing (or so says carl's guide which has been an invaluable help in this challenge so far.)

But before starting with the skills of this generation, Pulmari needs to make a couple more sculptures to top her career. Which she achieved by selling about 5 sculptures in the consignment store.

In the midst of sculpting statues Pulmari met Bill Copperfield, Twinbrook policeman.

Pulmari was going to the consignment store when she saw Bill walking by and immediately invited him to her house. He was one of the possibilities that I had thought of as a possible husband for her. The reason is his red skin.

Thinking that I couldn't lose this opportunity, I set Pulmari on a mission to win him over.

A few hours later Bill joined the household as Pulmari's husband.

Before the day was out, Bill left for university.

Before starting this house, I had already planned that Pulmari's spouse would take the Journalism career. Since Bill is halfway through his adulthood, he would benefit from a degree in communications.

I played Bill's university days mostly on speed 3. The man dedicated himself to studying and attending classes, working on his skills in between.

During his off hours he toured the campus meeting sims to increase his charisma and in the evenings he practiced writing.

Something to note is that one night he was visited by a thief, whom he arrested thanks to his Can Apprehend Burglar hidden trait.

And that's basically all that happened with Bill in college.

He did a second period very similar to the first one, I hardly took screenshots except for when he maxed charisma.

Bill graduated with a A and gained a new trait, I chose workaholic to help him with his career.

Then it was time to return home. Bill uploaded his resume and got a job in Journalism at level 4. From now on, Bill would be known as a journalist who has no problem saying the bad things about Twinbrook residents that everyone knows but no one says.

A few days later, Pulmari was expecting their first child.

Tupungato is friendly and excitable. He is the heir because he is red. 😜

A couple of days later, his brother Bermejo was born neurotic and couch potato. The brothers are only four days apart in age.

Bermejo is the designated sim to supermax writing, so he is learning it since his first day as a toddler, while Tupungato is practicing his socials skills with his mother to help him supermax social networking in the future.

I don't know why I took this screenshot, maybe because the whole family was skilling? I don't remember but I share it anyway.

There were three birthdays one after another, first Pulmari aged to adult in her studio, at least Bill to cheered for her.

Tupungato aged to child and gained the ambitious trait.

Bill aged to elder the same day as his son.

The next day Bill completed all of his requirements. First, he topped his career and completed his lifetime wish.

As soon as he got home, he began to write a new article and with that he maxed the writing skill.

And because this sim is a super achiever, the next day he also maxed social networking out.

Not to be outdone by his family, Bermejo also had a birthday, he has the bookworm trait now.

To my shame, I didn't take any screenshots of Bermejo after aging up and on top of that I sent him directly to the computer to start with his first book.

What a bad watcher I am.
